I love this Yarn for its texture

I made a Feather and Fan Tee for myself and another for my daughter. The pattern fits great and the Yarn is terrific.

I was thrilled and amazed that Webs was able to match my dye lot of yarn purchased elsewhere. Beware though: This is VERY challenging yarn to work with and I have been a knitter for 60 years. Insert a life line every 4-5 rows because if you drop a stitch that whole column of stitches will literally fall right out for several rows.

Here is how I joined the ends: Thread end #1 into a large eye needle and work it about three inches through the tube of end #2. Pull the needle and end #1 through the wall of end #2. With end #1 still hanging out of the wall of end #2 use fine matching thread to sew running stitches along the 3" length of the inserted/overlapped ends. Secure the sewing thread with a discreet knot. Clip protruding end#1 and the sewing thread.

Comments about CLASSIC ELITE YARNS Sanibel:

It's ok. The ribbon parts are very slippery and sometimes vary in width. The yarn itself is more muted in color than I thought it would be. And, it's hard to work with. I wouldn't buy this yarn again.

Crocheting with this yarn to make a sweater. So far so good. I have not washed the yarn yet.

I really like this yarn.

Comments about CLASSIC ELITE YARNS Sanibel:

I am in the process of making a summer cardigan--open and lacy. The yarn is fairly slippery and I found that bamboo needles work better than metal. I was getting cramps in my hands using the metal ones. I like the variation in texture and the little bit of shine that appears regularly. I don't know if this will stretch as I wear it but so far I like the look of it.

Comments about CLASSIC ELITE YARNS Sanibel:

I am knitting the satellite cowl and the yarn glides on the needles. I bought 4 balls in two different colors each. The cowl is lovely just like the yarn.

Comments about CLASSIC ELITE YARNS Sanibel:

The color is listed as Ivory. Looks fine in the photo. But it tends to look pink-ish when knit, which I'm not fond of.
