Almost every time I wear this cardigan in public, someone tries to buy it right off my back! Why?
Because if you are a woman of a certain age and your upper arms are not what you’d like them to be (and you’re too busy knitting to go the gym) this cardigan allows you to wear sleeveless tanks while diverting attention from your upper arms. And for all body types, this cardigan is a perfect amount of sexy.
More good news? It takes only 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 6) skeins of Habu Cotton Gima. The yarn in this cardigan is on the thin side and may be a bit tricky to work with, and the finished product stretches every which way but I think you’ll find the result is worth the effort.
Skills Needed: General knitting skills. Although the pattern is very simple, because of the fiber, I wouldn’t recommend this for a first sweater.
Size: small (medium, large, 1x, 2x, 3x)
Finished measurements:
* Bust: 32-34 (36-38, 40-42, 48-50, 52-54)"
* Length: 19 (20, 21, 22, 23, 23)"
Yarn: 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 6) skeins Habu Textiles item #A-174 Cotton Gima (100% cotton, 1 oz, 265 yards) in color #15 (Olive).
Needles: #8 needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 17 sts and 21 rows = 4" square in st st on #8 needles.
