- Snags Yarn
I previous wrote how much I like theses needles. I really wanted to like them because they do seem warmer in hands then the nickle-plated. However, after using them I find they are not suitable for lace. They tend to snag or just catch the fine lace yarns instead of letting it glide over the needles like the DK or WW. The problem seems to be the join at the gold connector to the wood. There are gaps there that even catch stitch markers slowing a knitter down. I like the price but it's not worth it to ruin my yarns or just be a nuisance to me.
- No Tangle Cable
- Smooth Finish
- Warm Touch
Wanted to try bamboo because I've read how great they are, the comments are true. Knitting in the winter months is hard on my hands. With the wood needles my hands have stayed relatively comfortable. The wood finish is very smooth allowing the yarn to glide right over. However, it still holds the yarn instead of letting it slide off the needles like the nickle plated ones do. I only bought the #2 to try to improve my lace knitting skills but I intend to buy larger sizes for everyday knitting.
