*This class fulfills the Requirement for WEKP.
Crochet a flurry of snowflakes to compliment the rest of your handmade holidays. These pretty motifs are a way to show off your crochet skills with a versatile project that can be made quickly in yarns of various weights. You'll learn how to join snowflakes can be joined together for a scarf or garland. Or use them singly to add an elegant embellishment to another gift. We'll use worsted weight yarn to get the hang of three snowflake patterns, each made of 4 rounds or less. Students can then go on to experiment with different fibers and
weights of yarn. Instructor will provide samples of snowflakes worked in different types of yarn. We’ll also cover techniques for using finished snowflakes as decoration, including stiffening. For best results, students should have had prior experience making granny squares or other motifs, such as those covered in Crochet II.
For the comfort and safety of our students and teachers, students may be asked to wear a mask during in person classes and workshops, and masks are available upon request.
