Sherman the Square Dancing Stegosaurus PDF
Sherman the Square Dancing Stegosaurus may have a tiny brain, but he makes up for it with enormous cuteness! Rebecca Danger's sweet stego pattern leaves the yarn choice up to you, so it's a perfect way to use up stashed single balls and leftovers. People from 1 to 101 will love this adorable little dino in all his stripey, square dancing glory. He's a quick knit, so you might be tempted to make a family!
A note on method from Rebecca Danger: "I like to use the “Magic Loop” method to knit small circumference projects in the round. It is super easy, super fun, and you can find an instructional video on the Frequent Questions page on my blog, www.rebeccadanger.typepad.com. Feel free to use dpns or a small circular needle if you prefer."
Yarn Quantities: 125-175 yards of yarn in your main color (MC)
25-50 yards of yarn in your contrast color (CC1)
25-50 yards of yarn in your second contrast color (CC2)
25-50 yards of yarn in your third contrast color (CC3)
Needles: You pick! A set of 4-5 dpn's OR circulars 2 or 3 sizes smaller than those recommended for your yarn (example: yarn says U.S. size 8, use a size 5 or 6 instead)
Gauge: You pick! Simply knit with your choice of yarn on needles 2-3 sizes smaller than called for to get a tight knit fabric so your stuffing won't show through.
