Emma Welford Designs Dauphine's Stockings
Marie likely wore practical, plain stockings as part of her undergarments--but that’s not very fun to dream about! The Dauphine’s Stockings are the stockings we want to imagine Marie (and ourselves!) wearing, with an allover butterfly lace motif and leafy vines growing on the back of the calves.
Dauphine's Stockings are also available in the Let Them Knit Cake eBook, a pattern collection inspired by Marie Antoinette, but made for the modern woman.
