Emma Welford Designs Dauphine's Stockings
Marie likely wore practical, plain stockings as part of her undergarments--but that’s not very fun to dream about! The Dauphine’s Stockings are the stockings we want to imagine Marie (and ourselves!) wearing, with an allover butterfly lace motif and leafy vines growing on the back of the calves. This pattern changes sizes by using a different needle size and gauge for each size. The lace and cable patterns are in written form only.
