Fishernet Cable Shoulder Bag from Jen Hagan Design is
a traditionally styled bag. You can create this bag in the round three
different ways for a quick project. The beautiful Fishernet cable is surrounded
by an easy braid cable and basketweave stitch and finishes with an applied
I-cord bind off and basketweave stitch strap. The textured and cable pattern
is charted and written out.
Finished Measurements:
Worsted Weight: Unfelted – 10¼” wide
and 8½” deep, 1¼” sides, and 30½” strap
Bulky Weight: Unfelted – 12½”
wide, 11½” deep, 1½” sides, and 37½” strap
Yarn Requirements:
Worsted Weight: 250 yards of 100% wool
such as Cascade Yarns 220 (100% Wool; 100g/220yds)
Bulky Weight: 300 yards wool yarn
as Valley Yarns Berkshire Bulky (85% Wool/ 15% Alpaca; 100g/108yds)
Needles: US 9 (5.50mm) or US 10
(6.00mm) 16” circular, single points and DPNs
Gauge:
Worsted Weight: 16 sts and 22 rows = 4”
in Chart A pattern and 24 sts and 22 rows = 4” in Chart B pattern, after
blocking
Bulky Weight: 14 sts and 18
rows = 4” in Chart A pattern and 2 sts and 18rows = 4” in Chart B pattern,
