First Cardigan with Set-In Sleeves - V - Winter 2025

*This class fulfills the First Cardigan with Set-In Sleeves Requirement for WEKP.

If you're ready to move beyond the world of scarves to the world of sweaters, this is the class for you. You'll make a basic, worsted-weight cardigan with set-in sleeves, classic and wearable. We will discuss choosing a size, gauge swatching, all aspects of shaping, how to finish your sweater using horizontal to horizontal, vertical to vertical, and horizontal to vertical seaming techniques, how to do a clean button-band pick-up, one-row button holes, how to add pockets, and how to fit a sleeve into a shoulder. Required text is Amy Herzog's Ultimate Sweater Book

You will receive the Zoom link 1-2 business days before the virtual class.

Prerequisite: Knitting II, or equivalent.
