Dolores has long been plotting a series of sartorial tributes to famous women–but we decided to launch that project a bit earlier than planned with this homage to the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a pioneering champion of women’s rights in America and the second woman to sit on the nation’s highest court. Notorious Robe and Interchangeable Collar pattern designed by Franklin Habit includes three collars and a dignified judge’s robe inspired by examples from Justice Ginsburg’s own collection: the Favorite, the Majority Opinion, and the Dissent.
Finished Measurements: 18¾” circumference of the bottom of the robe and 6¼” long
Yarn Requirements: 1 ball each Valley Yarns Valley Superwash Sport (100% Extra Fine Merino; 50g/153 yds) shown in 05 Black and 01 White
Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) 24” circular and DPNs to get gauge
Gauge: 23 sts and 32 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch
