Kenzie by HiKoo just may be the perfect tweed. New Zealand merino, angora and alpaca lend softness and body, nylon lends strength and silk noils contribute delicate texture and color accents. The smooth, round 3-ply yarn knits into a cohesive fabric that blooms when wet blocked. The angora haze is just fuzzy enough to lend a cozy feel, but not so fuzzy that it will obscure any stitch patterning.

I am just a novice-to-intermediate crocheter, so I hesitate to be the first person to review this product. However, I just love this unique yarn, so I decided to review it...why not!

I am crocheting a special little baby sweater/jacket for an acquaintance. Crocheting garments is not easy for me but this yarn makes it a breeze.

The feel and texture of the yarn take some getting used to, as I crochet primarily with wool blends (with nylon or acrylic). Once I got okay with holding the yarn (tension), crocheting became a breeze! This yarn yields great stitch definition, just enough garment stretch to make the piece cozy & little tweed elements that add interest to the yarn. As an added benefit, this yarn simply does not split! The sweater is coming out to near perfection!

Love this yarn so much, I am buying more in a different color to crochet a sweater for my niece's baby! Just love it! Only downsides are 1) cost...a bit pricey, and 2) yarn requires hand-washing & air drying...somewhat of an inconvenience for baby garments...just have to make sure my moms get that information!

I will try adding photos of my finished sweater at a later date...currently, it is about 3/4 complete!

Slightly short in yardage, but lovely yarn

The yarn is lovely, soft with a lovely halo. However, every ball was 5-10% short in weight, which ended up being nearly a ball short over my lot of 10. I emailed the manufacturer and they advised they would let them mill know. I probably wouldn't purchase again until I knew the issue was resolved.

Comments about HIKOO Kenzie:

....When I was searching for yarn...I read the reviews on this yarn and it has totally lived up to all the positive reviews that people had said about it!!! It is one of the nicer yarns that I have used and I've done a lot of knitting in my day. it is so soft, the stitch definition is lovely, the tweed is just beautiful. I would recommend this especially for sweaters or any clothing worn next to the skin. It is amazing.....I happily give this yarn 5 stars!!!!

This yarn is a pleasure to work with and knits up into beautiful sweaters. Colors are great, too. No problems with splitting or knots, either.

      Comments about HIKOO Kenzie:

I Love Hikoo Kenzie yarns, but I gave it 4 stars because although it showed having my color available, when they put my order together they found that the color was out of stock and discontinued, so they picked another color to send. I could have sent this back, but since I love Kenzie yarns and I liked the other color I was sent, I decided to keep it to use in another project. Now my only problem is to find some of the original color I asked for so I can finish the sleeves of my sweater!

I bought this yarn as a substitute for a very expensive yarn listed in a pattern. Very pleased with the quality and results.
