Knitting in the Stitch below is a technique that can create a wide variety of textural interest, checkered patterns, and embossed ribs in a knitted fabric that is thick, soft, and supple. In this class, we will cover all those variations and their characteristics, with participants learning the techniques and practicing them. One color and two color versions will be covered. Participants will have the choice of starting a hexagon stitch cowl in the round or a scarf knitted flat using any of the textures learned.
You will receive the Zoom link 1-2 business days before the virtual class.
Prerequisite:
Materials Required:
Several small balls (20 grs
each) of worsted weight yarn in different colors to work practice swatches in
class, size 6 needles, stitch markers. Also, one needle, size 4 (straight or
dpn).
When possible, please buy your materials from WEBS.
Cancellation
Policy: For all classes, payment of full tuition is due at time of
registration. Tuition will be refunded only if the class is cancelled by WEBS,
or if there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.
