*This class fulfills the Non-Knitting Elective Requirement for WEKP.

Have you been wanting to learn how to weave, but are intimidated by all the moving parts? Is weaving something that you would like to try, but just haven’t gotten around to it? Weaving is something that you are interested in, but aren’t sure that you will like it? You have looked into weaving classes, but they are so expensive and you are not sure if you want to make a commitment to that many classes?

If you answered “yes” to one or more of those questions, then WEBS has just the class for you! Intro to Rigid Heddle Weaving is a one day fun workshop that teaches you the fundamentals of weaving on a simple rigid heddle loom. In one day you learn how to thread and weave a scarf. Really, a scarf is made in one day! You are not required to know anything about weaving and no experience is needed. The instructor has many years of tips and tricks up her sleeve to make your first project a success. The tuition price includes the use of a store loom, so you do not need to already own one, an added plus.

For the comfort and safety of our students and teachers, students may be asked to wear a mask during in person classes and workshops, and masks are available upon request.
