I love the colors in the Marble, and bought 3 skeins of 6 different colors . Planning on using it for baby sweaters and blankets.
The yarn separates a little, mostly with sharp needles, but I just paid attention, no problems.

fun yarn, for fun projects. pretty and easy to use.

this is not the yarn for an heirloom sweater, but for little projects like a baby afghan, it's fine.

Comments about 4.99 Marble DK:

Aftter making over 150 prayer shawls over the last 7 years, I have found that James G. Brett yarn to be the nicest and best yarn to use for this purpose. It actually takes less skeins of yarn than with any other yarn I have used.

      Comments about 4.99 Marble DK:

The yarn coming off the ball looked very drab and dull -- as opposed to the picture. But when it was woven into a scarf, it looked almost like black velvet with little colored highlights. Easy to weave, am pleased with the result and will try another color.

I meant to buy James C. Brett Marble bulky, but I goofed. I'm glad I did, The beautiful yarn makes a scarf look like you worked hard and all the time it was the yarn doing the work.

Machine washable which always helps a lot! Depth of color is some of the best I've seen.I purchased enough to make the JC Brett hooded sweater and Aran weight cabled Cardigan.

            Comments about 4.99 Marble DK:

It started with Monsoon & patterns. Then Monsoon went away. Last summer relatives took me to a yarn store, which had only one acrylic yarn in stock. My relatives were mortified when I went for the jewel-like soccer balls of Marble Chunky. I said you do not understand, it is James C. Brett. Getting home (I shipped the laundry and non-acrylic yarns by post office and the soccer balls rode with me on the plane) I researched patterns and also found Marble DK, and patterns, and more colors. Knitting this yarn makes it look like I know what I am doing, the colorways work out so beautifully. It practically knits by itself. I am working on JCB's #40 pattern, a cardigan, and I have the pearls to go with it. I am also going have patterns 95 & 39. At this point I am beyond a groupie and have become a James C. Brett junkie, so I am biased. I love the yarns and the patterns, which go so well together. Thank you WEBS for having this yarn.

I have made several afghans, scarves and hats out of this yarn. It is easy to work with, and works into a very unique pattern with the variegation in the yarn. It washes and wears well. It has become one of my favorite yarns.
