Terrific results

Comments about JO SHARP Silkroad DK Tweed:

I purchased this yarn last year for a lap blanket but changed my mind and made my son a raglan pullover sweater for this Christmas. The yarn was very nice to work with, very soft and I found no joins or knots. It has thick and thin areas which worked very well in my pattern, but may not be suitable for every project. My son loves his sweater. It is soft on the skin and holds it shape well. It blocked easily and shows no signs of pilling although it has not been washed yet. I will definitely consider this yarn for future projects.

Comments about JO SHARP Silkroad DK Tweed:

I haven't used this yet, but I think it will make a lovely shawl. However, I ordered the iceberg color based on the photo which looks definitively grey. However, it is a pale blue. It's lovely, and I'll no doubt find something to use it for, but it will not work as a grey in the project I had planned. Time to go stash diving...

Pros

    Cons

    • all that foreign matter in the yarn

    Best Uses

    • does make a nice sweater
    • smooth, soft, nice colors

Comments about JO SHARP Silkroad DK Tweed:

This is not a yarn I would ordinarily buy, but I fell into 6 balls of remaindered Silkroad DK tweed. Should have been enough to make this sweater, but it seems not all the balls were full, so I had to find complimentary colors to work into the design. It is a pleasure to knit with, smooth and soft, though one does have to spend a lot of time picking out vegetable and insect bits. Like the colors. Just not the price!

Comments about JO SHARP Silkroad DK Tweed:

The feel of this yarn, both while working with it, and wearing it, is soft, comforting, light. I cannot say enough about it. The slightly felted plies stick together and do not split while knitting.

Comments about JO SHARP Silkroad DK Tweed:

I made a fair isle sweater , machine washed and air dried. It came out excellent. The fair isle section was smooth and even , looked so good that I'mbuying more to make another one. Yarn is soft and amazingly light weight and yet good structure and spit splices well.

I'm s glad to see this back in the states

      By

Comments about JO SHARP Silkroad DK Tweed:

I used this to make two sweaters--cobblestone pullovers) for my husband. They are both about 8--9 years old and they have worm so beautifully. It is soft and it is durable. Since it was unavailable in the US I've purchased it in Denmark. It's a good solid product and I'm glad to see it being sold in the US again.
