Katia Creta is a flamme constructed blend of cotton, acrylic and polyamide yarn in a bulky weight that works up fast. Its slubby, thick & thin structure adds a ton of texture to your projects. Creta is very light & aerated as a result of its low twist - it's a great choice for warmer-weather garments. Made in Spain

      Comments about   " Creta:

I used two different colors of Katia Creta -- a medium blue and a light gray -- to make a striped scarf for a gift. I used the yarn for warp and weft. The yarn was easy to thread as warp, coming off the ball quickly without tangling. It did not wear or frizz as it went through the heddles on the loom. The thick and thin weights of the yarn worked beautifully as weft yarn, fitting nicely against itself without being too tight or too open. I wet-finished the scarf in warm water, allowed it to drip dry for a couple of hours and then put it into the dryer to tumble dry on low for about 15 minutes. The result is a beautiful, pebbly textured scarf that's amazingly soft with great drape.
