When I am knitting up fingering weight or lace weight, I need a sharper point and these provide that. I prefer this brand of bamboo because the stitches slide easily, yet there is enough resistance that they don't tend to slide off the tip and get dropped. Other bamboo needles I've tried are not smooth enough, and aluminum can be too slippery. Where the gold connects the cord to bamboo, the join is straight, with no angle as other brands have. This means the work slides across easily, resulting in less hand fatigue. Finally, the cord itself: before using, I just give it a few hours to relax, and thereby don't have to "cook" it in a shallow pan of water as I do with others. I'm amazed at the low price of these gems!

I bought these to try with some super fine sock yarn. I knit Continental and my tension is average to loose so this was an experiment. Compared to my Addis they were easy to manage when beginning and my plan was to switch back to my addis once the ribbing was established. But they are just too "soft"The join is good and the cable is nice though, they might be good for beginners. Webs is a great company and I highly recommend them to fellow Canadians, there is no import duty and their prices and selection are TERRIFIC

I love using it with cables and stranted colorwork because the stitches do not tend to slip off. Goes well with DK, worsted and bulky yarns.

Here's another "atta-boy" for you guyz! The orders that include needles--even circulars, which don't have long shanks, after all--you use a box instead of the plastic bags. (The plastic is fine for just yarn.)

And, as always, fast processing/shipping, very reasonable rates, and friendly folks on the phone.

Bamboo needles are the best to use. Knitting is easy, and the stitches do not slip off accidentally. I've switched to bamboo circular for all my knitting, even two needle knitting.
