On the cons above, I tried putting 2.5 and 3.0 for needles which have broken, and it comes out "25" and "30" as punctuation was not enabled in your text boxes.

I replaced these needles with the Platina Knitter's Pride for those sizes. I had knit myself some socks using up knitting worsted with the small needles. The socks are wonderful but after making about 7 pair, the two sizes noted, snapped where the metal connection joins. This was when I went to take the connection cords off. These should be recommended only to use with fingering and lace weight or sock yarn.

I thought about replacing them because the kit will hold all the bamboo interchangeable between the two pages. I have arthritis but using the bamboo is therapy for my hands. I went with the Platina for these so I can knit whatever weight yarn I choose with them. I still want to buy the bamboo ones again though. I love my kit and want to keep it complete.

Before returning to knitting, my arthritis was very disabling. My hands get sore at times, but no more swollen knuckles, my doctor says what has happened in my case is a virtual full recovery, he terms it a miracle. So I love knitting as it keeps my arthritis at bay, I really need to keep knitting and bamboo is the best product I have found for comfort. It isn't as fast as nickel plated, but I can type now and can sign my name and even open sticky jelly jars.

My overall experience is that I love your site because of your wonderful service and how fast you ship. I never spend time for writing reviews but for you I make an exception.

I bought these tips for a large lace knitting project. I was disappointed that the bamboo is dry and seems unfinished. The "gold plated" ferrule isn't a great fit to the tips and feels plasticky. Right out of the package the plating seemed to be wearing off, though it's held up ok so far.

I rubbed beeswax on the bamboo tips before knitting. That and the oils from my hands have improved the texture. The bamboo is sanded well and fine grained.

With all the hype I've heard about KP needles I was expecting more. I will not knit with these again unless I have to.

Comments about true Bamboo Interchangeable Circular Needle Tips:

I love knitting with these, but I've had 3 of them break--at the join between the metal and wood--while they were in my bag, though they were packed inside a rolled knitting case!

Comments about true Bamboo Interchangeable Circular Needle Tips:

I usually don't like bamboo needles as they bend in my hand. So I was pleasantly surprised with these in size 3.0, as they didn't bend all that much. (Just a little bit.)

Comments about true Bamboo Interchangeable Circular Needle Tips:

The tips are very smooth for bamboo and handle fine yarns well, but I had a pair snap at the join where the bamboo goes into the metal cap after only a few hours' use. If you like wood, these are about the best going, but use with reservations.
