Comments about true Nova Platina Fixed Circular Needles 32"":

I have that type of body chemistry that means that nickel plated needles tarnish quickly - usually within the first use. I bought a set of these for socks, hoping that they would not react to my skin the same way. I am pleased to report that I can finally get the smooth metal needle knitting experience without having them tarnish and get grippier after one or two projects! If you have the same problem as I did, I recommend getting a pair and trying them out.

I am also very impressed by the flexibility of the cord. Some brands have such a stiff cord that the coils will make you crazy, but these cords are very soft (but not grippy) and easy to work with. I will definitely be buying more of these in other sizes. They will be one of my go-to sock knitting needles from now on.

Comments about true Nova Platina Fixed Circular Needles 32"":

I have been a long time fan of the nova cubics, but these new platina are even better. I have had some issues with quality with the old nova cubics, but have found no problem getting them quickly replaced. Now I must have more of these great new longer tapered tips!

      Disappointing

Comments about true Nova Platina Fixed Circular Needles 32"":

I bought these for knitting DK and sport weight yarn for sweaters. The overall workmanship and material of the product do not seem to be of high quality. The surface of the needles is slightly rough, as if it is a polished plating over an irregular surface of metal underneath. It doesn't catch the yarn, but it seems that the chrome plating may flake. The needles are very shiny, which is an advantage if knitting dark yarn of in a glare-free environment, but too reflective to use at the beach, in direct sunlight or even in bright, artificial light. The points are quite sharp, and seem to have tiny crooks at the points, which do not snag the yarn, but do interfere with establishing an even rhythm to knitting. I have had very good luck with this brand of needles holding together after much use for the NOVA metal needles, although I had an early failure with the NOVA bamboo. I will try these once again before deciding to send back, but I'm not going to buy this brand again.
