I looked all over the Internet to find these extra small sized crochet hooks for a jewelry project that I am working on. I needed to be able to crochet very tightly around a gemstone donut and my hands were left aching. These are so much more comfortable to use than the all steel type that I bought one in every size. The .50 size even fits through a seed bead! Love them!

My review is based on the way I hold the hook,I hold it like a pen ,I usually use my clover Amour hooks but ordered all the larger sizes from waves because clover amour don't make , I,m currently using size 6.5 mm with a bulky yarn and I find it not as comfortable as the clover ones.
The tip of the head of the hook is more arched upwards and the gap qetween the tip and the shaft is more wider than the clover ones which snagges the yarn ,to avoid this problem I have to loosen my stitches and a do a lot of maneuvering which strains my arms and shoulders ,also the rubbery handle is stiffer than the clover ones
Some users might find it comfortable based on the way they hold the hook while crocheting but for me it is not, I hope my preview is helpful.

Comments about 3.19 Steel Crochet Hooks:

Love these hooks. They replace your basic steel hooks that have only a tiny flat spot to grab onto. I also like the fact that they aren't huge, either. The handle is about 1/4 inch thick, with a flattened side to provide a grip.

Comments about 3.19 Steel Crochet Hooks:

Some 6/0 seed beads have smaller holes than others, especially vintage that I love to use. This hook is perfect for adding those beads to my knitted lace work.

The thumb grip is further from the tip than the hook I usually use (Susan Bates), but after a short period of adjustment, I find this hook to be very comfortable.

I had trouble finding very small crochet hooks to use when adding beads to fingering yarn projects, so I was happy to find these. They work very well.

I am new to knitting with seed beads. Started with a 0.75 mm hook, which works ok with laceweight yarn but not so well with fingering. On the other hand, the 1.25 mm is too big for 6/0 beads. This one is perfect for 6/0 beads and fingering yarn.
Heavier handle is nice to work with too.
