Product Details

The Naniboujou Lodge in Grand Marais, Minnesota, was built in the early 20th century with a grand room with a ceiling painted with Cree motifs. It is named for Naniboujou, the Cree god of the woods. The That ceiling is the inspiration for this hat. Earflaps are knit flat, then stitches cast on between the earflaps joined and finished in the round. The earflaps are a colorful bird motif that can be knit all at once, or portions of the eyes can be duplicate-stitched after completion! The colorwork patterns are in chart form only.
