Louisa Harding Azalea is a cable-plied, 100% cotton yarn that's very smooth, round and incredibly soft. If you haven't worked with cotton before, this yarn would be a great one to start with! It's printed in a delicate splash-dyed style, which adds visual texture and interest in the finished fabric without being garish - the colors blend together beautifully. Azalea works up at a versatile DK weight, making it a fabulous choice for any warmer-weather garment or accessory. Made in Romania

This yarn is beautiful and so so soft. It does separate a bit and can get tight when twisted too much, but I looove it!

    Comments about 7.89 Azalea:

I haven't knitted it up yet because the pattern I chose isn't working. That being said, this is pretty yarn. The (incorrectly sized) swatches I've knitted up have been smooth and colorful. You have to look at this yarn from a distance to get a feel for what it's going to look like. I really like the one I chose.

      Comments about 7.89 Azalea:

I'm knitting a shell top with Color Sea Spray, and I find it soft and friendly to knit. The pre-wound skeins are great, there is a lot of yarn per skein, and the color makes a soft speckled green odor with small spots of yellow and pink appearing regularly. It makes me think of dappled sunlight in the forest. I would certainly purchase this again and recommend to others.

      Practically Perfect in Every Way

      Comments about 7.89 Azalea:

Unfortunately that one thing is a total dealbreaker. This yarn is wonderful to work with. The fact that it comes pre-balled is nice, and the flecks of color in the "Monet" colorway are beautiful. I enjoyed knitting with it for about 1.5 hours before walking away from the chair; when I approached my pile of knitting, it was with dismay that I realized all those pretty flecks of color combine to create a dull brownish-grey when viewed from a distance of about 2' or more. There are a few colors that look like they would be better, but I can't recommend the Monet colorway (or Haze and Wisteria which seem similar) because of the severe letdown when viewing the FO. I would recommnend this to a friend if they knew what they were getting into, but I won't buy it again.
