This yarn is slightly thick and thin. It is true to gauge . The blocked swatches I knit did not change in size but the fabric relaxed into a lovely drape. Stockinette is very even and has a bit of memory. Ribbing relaxes a little bit more. It is a slightly difficult to knit lacey sections but once I got the hang of it I had no problem. I am a third of the way through the front of Bramble and I've found no defects in the yarn. My only complaint is that it fuzzes a little. I don't think it will pill but I think it will fuzz more with time. Colors are beautiful with a slight sheen. If this sweater holds up I will buy more. Wish it came in solid colors.

Purchased 2-3 skeins of this in each of three colors to make asymmetric shawls . The artist palette colors are lovely and seem accurate The Monet (607) colorway is especially nice.

The yarn itself is disappointing. Frogging does not come apart easily; I ended up having to cut out areas. Frogging definitely damages the yarn; the yarn becomes fuzzy and the colors seem to muddy up. The yarn breaks easily.

Thickness seems unintentionally inconsistent - in some spots it's nothing but a wad of fuzz and in other spots closer to lace weight.

I will use what I have, but would not buy it again.

Comments about LOUISA HARDING Pittura:

I have begun knitting a small shawl. The yarn is very soft and drapes nicely, and the colors are very nice.

Still working on this project, the colors are fabulous, the yarn runs from thin to almost threadlike though, but I still love it!

Comments about LOUISA HARDING Pittura:

I have not yet cast this project on. Will do the Honesty Cowl with color way Klimt. Haven't chose a pattern for color way Monet yet. Colors are stunning in both and yarn has lovely silky texture with a bit of sheen. Believe it will work up beautifully

A bit of a disappointment

Comments about LOUISA HARDING Pittura:

I bought 4 skeins for a sweater and halfway through the first skein, I came across a knot. No big deal...until a few inches into knitting with it I realized the coloring was different after the knot. The colors in the first half were very vibrant. After the knot, it was much more muted almost to the point of being pastel-y. My husband said no one would notice (what does he know??!) but my daughter picked up on it right away. I tried to blend it with another skein (2 rows from one, 2 rows from another) but I could still tell. Hopefully, I can finish the sweater without having to use the rest of that first skein. May have to resort to 3/4 sleeves...
