I bought this yarn to specifically make socks with it. The color I chose was Monte Carlo. Maybe it was the color choice that threw me off, but what I noticed as I was knitting with this was that the yarn gets VERY fuzzy, and when you have to frog your work a bit, it snags. There are positives to this yarn, being that it is very soft and the colors are wonderful. Just wish I had made something other than socks with the color I chose!

Comments about Misti Alpaca Hand Paint Sock:

Love this yarn. I have knit about 10" of the Zickzack scarf. It is beautiful and I get so many compliments from knitters and non-knitters alike. I'm using three colors instead of the two the pattern called for as I just couldn't make up my mind which ones to buy. The color runs work up great in my version of the scarf as I elected to make it narrower. Would definitely buy again. Very soft and easy to knit up.

I've been looking for a soft sock yarn with small repeats -- to avoid colour pooling. This yarn is it! Perfect for baby bootees and socks. A pleasure to knit with and wear.

This is beautifully dyed, super soft, sock yarn that melts onto your needles. Terrific for making socks anyone would be proud to wear. I even love the playful color names. I will use this yarn over and over. Not the cheapest sock yarn out there, but it is worth it.

Completely useless for making anything other than socks, due to the incredibly SHORT repeats. We're talking 4-5 inches, here. Looks terrible and muddy in a shawl.
