      Comments about "" Tonos Carnaval:

The good: the colors are lovely and rich, and the color looks tonal, without pooling. Because of the alpaca, it can make a fairly warm sweater that's also light, which is nice if you don't want a lot of bulk.

The bad: this yarn bleeds. A lot. A whole lot. I've washed my sweater six or seven times in cool water and each time the water is quite purple when I take it out. The sweater has retained its color, but that's a lot of bleeding. I would not wash it with anything else.

In short: Nice yarn but a lot of bleeding.

            Comments about "" Tonos Carnaval:

I am using up my 2nd skein of this in cerise right now. It DOES bleed during washing, however it's not extreme. The color looks amazing in good light. In poor/indoor light, it just looks pink. While it's pretty either way, a good light source really shows off all the little tone changes. Good but not great stitch definition, which I think works well with the color--the prismatic effect would be lost in cables or intricate patterning. I do find it quite difficult to tink back more than a few stitches. It is like butter in my hands while knitting, and finished items keep that softness.

              Comments about "" Tonos Carnaval:

I purchased this yarn because I wanted something that wouldn't knit up into obvious stripes on socks. It doesn't.
It is such a delight to work with. The color & softness of the knitted product are incredible. Slightly fuzzy but does not detract from the pattern. I want more! Time will tell about the durability & launderability but worth the effort to find out.

                    My Favourite Yarn!

                    Comments about "" Tonos Carnaval:

This is my absolute favourite yarn to work with. It was spun so evenly, and died so beautifully. The colors are very good, rich , but not too bright ( I had Desert Sunset and Sand Dune). What amazed me that each color in the group of variation was no longer than couple inches, so the pattern would be the same with short rows and long rows. Something, that I always had problems with in printed yarns. I highly recommend this yarn for its luxurious nature.
