This design only needs 10 yards of fingering or lace weight yarn. Look at your yarn scraps… you are sure to have a little bit of the perfect something to use! Then the fun begins: you’ll need a simple toggle clasp and beads to match your yarn…. look in your bead stash, and if you don’t have one, it’s time to head to the bead store and start one!
Finished Measurements: 34" longLace Weight Version
Yarn Requirements: 10 yards lace weight yarn
Needles: US 0 (2mm) DPNs
Beads: 544 Size 8 glass seed beads, approx. 15 grams
Gauge: 8 rows of beads per inch of necklace worked (16 beads per inch)
Fingering Weight Version
Yarn Requirements: 10 yards fingering weight yarn
Needles: US 1 (2.5mm) DPNs
Beads: 472 Size 6 glass seed beads, approx. 40 grams
Gauge: 7 rows of beads per inch of necklace worked (14 beads per inch)
