I don't typically bother with reviews, but I needed to with this. When you buy a yarn like Ginga you have to understand that the pretty colors vary and are variegated. Its a stunning yarn and it knits/ crochets beautifully in texture and quality. If you're a tense knitter, the yarn will pull and pill weird. So relax your hands. Such a great yarn I've ordered another four

I bought this yarn to knit a bag from a pattern in the NORO magazine- I chose a different color - and was terribly disappointed with how the color was when I got it - I knit about 1/4 of the bag and didn't think it looked good enough to put the time into it- I am returning the unused yarn. I am considering repeating the pattern with the color featured in the magazine.

I'm making the Open Work Poncho that is in a spring 2016 copy of Noro magazine and it is lovely to work with. So colorful and easy on my needles and fingers. Love it!

    Comments about NORO Ginga:

I bought this to make a poncho. It was much too bulky for me to wear at 5'2". I am starting over, making a throw for the sofa.

    Comments about NORO Ginga:

The woman I hired to knit me a scarf said the yarn was very poor quality. I don't remember the technical terms she used to describe it, but I sent it back.

        Comments about NORO Ginga:

This is one of Noro's most interesting cotton/silk yarns. It knits up in extraordinary diversity of color, pure art for the eyes! I love it! It is not for beginning knitters or those with no imagination. Use big needles and work some lace for a lighter fabric. The look is funky and organic. Enjoy!
