I am wearing the lace-front, short-sleeved sweater I just finished and it is SOOO comfortable, even as the weather heats up. Can't wait to wear it "out" so I can show it off...it's my first lace pattern so I was very pleased that I was able to rip back to where I started out wrong but the yarn was still fine with "re-knitting." I don't think I'd use if for socks, tho...I think it might mat too much, but, haven't tried it. I was also pleased that the whole project only "ate up" 2 1/2 skeins! I've enough left for another project, I think. Love this yarn! Couldn't find any negatives to post.

This was the most difficult yarn to crochet I have ever used. It kinked up immediately and constantly. I tried (1) working directly from the ball and (2) winding it into a cake using a yarn winder, but neither was even remotely satisfactory. Quality control is very suspect. The yarn goes from thread thin to bulky, undyed roving in a matter of yards. Even though I love the colors, I won't buy this again.

    Comments about Noro Taiyo Sock:

So over-twisted that the yarn from needle to skein would knot on itself. Horrible.

    Comments about Noro Taiyo Sock:

I'm writing a review of this yarn because some knitters, while liking the yarn, thought it unsuitable for making socks. Let me say, that I've already machine washed the beautiful pair that my mother made for me, and all's well. I should add the caveat that machine washing is NOT recommended. In my case, they were going to accidentally end up in the machine and then dryer anyway at some point, so I decided to take the chance. I LOVE these socks for the summer. Cotton, as one source told me, doesn't shrink, so much as constrict after washing. Like your favorite pair of jeans, these socks are a little tighter when you first put them on after a wash, but then the fibers relax a little. I adore the color, and get a lot of compliments on these socks. The yarn does twist, but the overall product really is deserving of 5 stars.

Enjoyed working with this yarn and the variations in color. Also like the thin/thick variations in the yarn. I made 3 of the same style short sleeve top. So pleased with the results.

I'm using this to knit a light-weight summer shawl. This is the yarn recommended by the pattern and I'm so glad I ordered it. I love the color variations, the feel as I knit, and the weight. I don't often use sock weight yarn but will definitely use this again.

Great colors, Noro yarns in my experience, tend to be a little tricky to work with. Don't fight them, let them do their thing, and everyone will be happier!

This is one of my favorite mill spun yarns for woven summer scarves. It works great as warp with a neutral colored weft.

I am crocheting a cap sleeve summer sweater. Colors are wonderful. Yard does twist so I do thread it through a hole in a bag, could use a bowl. I love watching the colors unfold as I go.
