Subtle, tonal color shifts highlight the wool, alpaca, and silk blend of Noro’s new Tennen. This single ply, worsted weight yarn has a lot of yardage making it a great deal. Made in Japan

Lovely blend of wools

Comments about NORO Tennen:

I knit the Jenny Watson Designs sweater with Noro Tennen in the Cappuchino and I was pleased with the final product. Tennen was perfect for this sweater pattern. The variegated colour and texture of the yarn add to the beauty of the sweater. I did run into a problem, however, with a long stretch (maybe 2-3 metres) of yarn that was so thin it broke. I had already knit about 5 rows in an area that fell across the shoulders at the back. This area across the shoulders needed to hold the weight of the sweater and it didn't look like it could. So I decided to rip it out, cut off the thin yarn, and knit with the thicker yarn. It worked out fine. Just a note to other knitters to watch that the thin stretches don't go on for too long - it could compromise your final product. I used the thin piece of yarn I had ripped out to stitch up the sweater seams and that's when I discovered how easily it separated.

beatiful yarn

Comments about NORO Tennen:

I am using it to knit a cardigan with a circular needle, all knit. The color variations in the yarn make up for the monotonous stitch.
