A beautiful soft fluffy angora

I primarily use this angora in Christmas stockings which I make to order - Santa's beard and eyebrows really stand out with this yarn.

I was knitting Santa's beard on a Christmas stocking and it was too thin. I couldn't double it as I was knitting from both ends. Later, when I could double it, it looked a lot better. What I had previously was A.C.A Supreme 100% pure Angora and Fox Brand Superchoice French Angora both made in France-much nicer.

Ho Ho Ho

Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Angora:

My family has been knitting the same vintage Christmas Stocking pattern since the late 1940's. Now it's my turn to knit the stocking for the latest generation. This yarn is being used for a Santa face pattern (this is his beard) and also the white fur around his cap. I've seen angora available elsewhere, but this was a better value for the money. I would definitely recommend using it.

Since angora is so hard to find, I probably will.

Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Angora:

This is fine angora. For my use, I wish it were a little heavier yarn. Also the ball is very small for the price. However for Santa's beard I double it up.

Great Yarn! Did (& Would) Buy Again!

Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Angora:

I got this yarn for a specific project, a small amigurimi/plushie. I was looking for angora or an angora blend and decided to use this, which is one of the only 100% angoras on the market. Unfortunately the colors I needed aren't in this line, so I bought white skeins to dye with Jaquard Acid Dye. The results are vibrant, very saturated colors. The yarn structure & texture remain the same and I can't wait to knit with this super soft & fuzzy angora!

Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Angora:

I purchased this product as a body material for "Steelhead" flies we use to catch large Steelheads up in the tributaries at Lake Erie. I've found the Angora yarn to be the best material for these beadhead nymphs I tie and they have proven highly successful year after year. This product gets a five star rating from me.

Delightfully soft yarn

Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Angora:

Yarn.com service was excellent. I got what I ordered quickly. As for the yarn, I bought it in four colors to make cloche hats for my sisters and me. It's lovely to work with. However, I wish I had weighed the yarn before starting because I'm sure there were varying weights in the skeins. The hats weigh identically and I have a little left of one color, a lot left of another and I had to order more for one

Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Angora:

The image shows this yarn being a little darker and a small bit on the blush side. This is BRIGHT PINK! I cant even use this. :( I was hoping to have this bonnet finished for my newborn photo session and now I am stuck. Very disappointed! :(

      Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Angora:

I used this yarn for edging babywear and it is so beautifully soft and the colours are fabulous. It is also lovely for little newborn baby hats. A 10 gram ball does not sound like a lot but a little goes a long way. This is a wonderful luxury yarn and everyone needs a little luxury in their life.

I wish I had realized that Angora would shed the way it did. I am making a scarf and it will shed all over my winter coat. It gets all over my clothes while knitting.
