I usually look at tons of sites and photos to corroborate the color of yarns on a website before purchasing. I didn't do it with #31, Seashell, because I was so tickled that the color shown was just what I had been looking for. Unfortunately, the actual color is a yellowish/tan, not the green overtones as shown on the WEBS site. It also is more of a fingering weight vs sport and is too sheer for the pattern I intended it for.
The yarn itself is very nice, and the washed swatch has a beautiful drape. I will find a compatible pattern to make good use of this lovely yarn.

I have worked with sport weight yarns. This isn't; this is more of a fingering weight, in my opinion, if that. This yarn seriously disappointed. Back to the drawing board for this project. This yarn went to the bottom of a drawer. Maybe someone else can use it; I won't.

Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Nettle Grove:

I used it in a tight crochet stitch and it keeps its shape beautifully. Wouldn't recommend it for knitting, it has too much give.

Washed and dried beautifully!

Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Nettle Grove:

I bought this for a baby sweater.
It is quite a thin sport weight, so I doubled the yarn. Worked great.
Put finished sweater through the washing machine and dryer, and it held its shape and did not pill.
The feel is soft, and there were only two defects in five skeins that I used for my project. I ran out of yarn and had to tink my swatches; the re-knit was easy without any washing or other prep. Like this stuff!

Beautiful, silky yarn

Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Nettle Grove:

I love the colorways for this yarn and the uniqueness of the nettle fiber. I think the photos have just a slight bluish tint, so factor that in when choosing your color. It will probably be just a bit warmer in real life. I'm using this for a light, summery sweater.

vareagated thin yarn

Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Nettle Grove:

Beautiful colors--yarn is quite thin but works up very nicely. It's difficult to judge the weight and final coloration of these types of yarns but it has a soft look to it and I think neutral with color.
I decided on this instead of the grey tones but although I do like this very much I think the greys would work up more to my liking.

    Color heads up in Seagrass!

    By

    from TX

Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Nettle Grove:

I just received this yarn so not able to say much except it feels soft and looks lovely and I love the delicate guage. I would advise you to C heck the color of Seagrass on other websites; it has a bluish cast on WEBS which is untrue. The tone is more yellow which shows on other website more accurately. I still like the color for the project I have in mind, but To avoid any unpleasant surprises make sure to double check that particular color

    Perfect combination of fibers

    By

    from Shoreline, CT

Comments about PLYMOUTH YARN Nettle Grove:

I'm knitting a sweater and love everything about it- especially the fact that it doesn't bias. Lightly slubby, with a slight sheen from the silk. Not the least bit coarse or itchy, very soft against the skin. Looks like a well-washed linen with amazing drape. Easy on the hands and knits up into a light fabric although the gauge is definitely sportweight. Perfect for summer tops. Highly recommend!
