Comments about "" Design Line Hand-dye Effect by Kaffe Fassett:

I attempted to start a pair of socks, but the yarn split so bad. It's beautiful yarn, and I love the color and the sheen. I just have to figure out what to do with it.

Comments about "" Design Line Hand-dye Effect by Kaffe Fassett:

I knit about 30 feet of this in a simple moss stitch. I'm a loose knitter. It broke 4 times. It is splitty, as it is a loose roving bound by a dainty nylon thread. I can't see any real use for this yarn.

Knitted a sweater with this and 4-Ply Design Line Random Stripe by Kaffe Fassett. The colors are fantastic together (no surprise) and the knitted fabric is very soft after blocking. This yarn is a lot stronger that I expected given its structure. I was able to use it for seaming the sweater.

Comments about "" Design Line Hand-dye Effect by Kaffe Fassett:

Having used Regia sock yarn before, I was very disappointed in the two skeins of this yarn that I purchased. I could see the yarn would not be good for socks (too limp), and tried a shawl with it. The shawl simply had no body, and it was ripped out. I donated both these skeins to a charity knitting group, didn't know any knitting friend who would want it - hope they find some use for it!

love this yarn. Its varigation makes it really fun to use in scarf projects. I do a lot of lace scarf work and I'm always looking for something different to use. I'll come back for more of this one, for sure.

Comments about "" Design Line Hand-dye Effect by Kaffe Fassett:

The thin black thread that runs with the wool may be a surprise, especially if you're ordering on-line. But don't let it bother you. Although the yarn is a bit splitty and a little odd to knit before you get used to it, the end result is beautiful! It's not the softest yarn ever, but soft isn't always best for socks, anyway. I'm hoping these will wear well. The socks felted slightly when they got accidentally put in the dryer --the fabric got a little fuller, but didn't hardly shrink.

          Worst Sock Yarn Ever

          By Anonymous

          from Lake Forest, CA

Comments about "" Design Line Hand-dye Effect by Kaffe Fassett:

This is nothing like Regia's other sock yarns. It is a loose single ply wrapped loosely with a single nylon thread. It sheds, it splits, it's rough, and looks too loose at even 9 st to the inch. The skein is so baddly wound that the whole thing falls a part at the first use. Why didn't they put these lovely effects on their normal sock yarn instead of a yarn that is not appropriate for socks?
