I am using this to make a sweater and so far I really like the yarn. It is very "wooly" feeling for a superwash, but still soft. It feels like it is going to hold up for a long time. The only issue I have had with it is that the first skein I used had a couple of breaks which had been knotted together and a weird section where plies were broken which I had to cut out. The breaks are a pain because you can't just spit felt them. I have been russian joining

I purchased 10 balls of this yarn to make a cardigan - it was beautiful in the ball: soft, squishy, plump and it knit up beautifully. The problem was after I washed it. I'm not sure what happened but it began pilling like crazy to a point where I have worn the cardigan a couple of times and it looks antique. It also stretched horribly when I washed it, but shrank back to a decent size when dry.

Comments about "" Pure Wool Aran:

I purchased 11 skeins of this yarn in the color Amethyst to make a sweater. The color was very rich and when I was not encountering any issue it has a nice knit definition, it was soft and springy. I did find knots, spots were the yarn was broken and it split easily. I am in the process of washing and blocking and starting to notice that it pills.

Comments about "" Pure Wool Aran:

I am seven skeins into an Irish afghan that is going to require 4400 yards. Not one knot or break. I am using ecru and it is like knitting with beautiful cream. I bought over 80 skeins of this yarn in several colors, because I love the weight, softness and texture. I am so sad it is being discontinued and replaced with a lighter worsted.
