good for sock beginners

Comments about "" Fortissima (50g):

the delivery and service is always excellent with this company. The yarn itself is rough but softens after washing. I personally didn't enjoy working with it but I bought it on sale to teach myself 2 at a time magic loop toe up. I didnt want to overspend on socks I knew I would be frogging and restarting. You will want a nice slippy kind of needle for this without too sharp a point, I used addis.

    Comments about "" Fortissima (50g):

While I don't often knit socks, I used this yarn to make a pair of kilt hose several projects ago and it has been my go-to sock yarn ever since. Since this is more of a worsted than wollen-spun yarn, any details or texture in your pattern will show up beautifully crisp. Also, this yarn is very sturdy and will hold up through countless wears and washes while still remaining soft and comfortable to wear.

The only issues I've found while working with this yarn is that it is easily kinked when drawing it from the skein or ball, so sometimes pulling out a new length takes a bit of wrestling. Also, it has a slight tendency to split, but errant loops are easy to wrangle back into place.
