I bought this along with the same # of skeins and color of Shibui Knits "Cima" to make a sweater *holding the two yarns together. It's awesome yarn. I only wish I could afford it in every color.

Tis yarn is, simply put, heavenly. It is so soft and has just a bit of shine to it that makes it look as luxurious as it feels! I purchased the colorway 'Fog' a lovely gray-blue shade. I purchased this for a sweater and I'm looking forward to crocheting with it.

I am really, really enjoying this yarn. I started out knitting a swatch, which turned out great. But I changed my mind and decided to crochet with it, which is also turning our great. The yarn is soft but also has great stitch definition. And, it is a joy to use.

Will definitely keep this on my list of favorite "go-to" yarns.

Comments about "" Baby Alpaca DK:

I was delighted that the yarn arrived in time to help me take up the time for healing a knee replacement surgery. It is a joy to work with, though I probably should have chosen a pattern specifically for baby alpaca rather than having to create my own gauge samples and alter the pattern I downloaded for the cardigan sweater.

Comments about "" Baby Alpaca DK:

This is the least shedding alpaca I have used, as there are only a couple of hairs that have shed as I knit the Shibui "Trece" sweater. It is a joy to knit with this "next to the skin " soft fiber. It makes a good stitch definition and has good drape and body although I would say that it is closer to sport weight than DK. It frogs well for occasional mistakes, and As a test, have reknit several rows with no visible changes to the quality of the stitches or yarn.

This is the only alpaca that didn't have a bit of scratchiness. They must have removed the guard hairs. Beautiful yarn in good color selection.
