Shibui Knits is known for their supremely soft yarns, and Cima is no exception. This downy lace weight yarn is two plies of fine baby alpaca and merino wool, with a little shine and very subtle halo. Cima will knit or crochet up into a smooth, light fabric with excellent stitch definition or a gauzy lace project. You can work single, double or triple strands of Cima, or hold it with another yarn for a unique textural blend. Whatever you dream up, Cima will give it a gorgeous soft feel and a defined look.

When you purchase any Shibui Knits Cima yarn, you'll automatically receive the Strata PDF for free! Please note that you must be logged into your account to receive the pattern.

This is another fabulous Shibui yarn. It is soft with a soft glow , yet sturdy, for a lace weight yarn with plenty of stitch definition and drape. It can be used single for lace or used multiply stranded for sweaters etc. it is a perfect yarn to couple with another yarn such as Shibui Pebble for a denser fabric such as gloves, hats and sweaters. I am using it along with Pebble to knit a sweater. It is a favorite and easy to work with yarn.

I wanted to use Cima for a lace scarf but I found it to be much too scratchy to wear next to the neck. Since I'm not fond of knitting socks I may trade this yarn on Ravelry.

Excellent to work with! The yarn is soft and holds it's shape. I mixed it with Dune to make a sweater.

Lovely, soft yarn. I made a lacy shawl for a wedding. This yarn has a natural stretch, bounce, and it doesn't separate into plys as you knit, even when frogging back and redoing.

I bought Cima to make the Shibui scarf and fell in love. The yarn is so soft yet has good structure. It feels great while knitting and made up into a scarf you love to have around your face. I think this yarn would also be great for sweaters.
