Purchased at half price and it still disappointed me

Comments about SIRDAR Sole to Sole:

Bought this yarn for half price on closeout and I was still disappointed in it. It was not enjoyable to knit -- very rough and virtually no halo, even after soaking. It is self striping so I expected a few misplaced color dots, but this yarn had far more than I thought it should. It also bled quite a bit when I soaked the finished socks before blocking. I bought three balls. I'll drop my needle size from US 1.5 to US 1 and see if that helps.

Pretty nice

Comments about SIRDAR Sole to Sole:

I think this is a good value for the price. It was a little splitty. There was also dye transfer on the light portions of the stripe repeat. It amounted to a few dark spots on the sock that don't really bother me. It feels a little rough to knit and makes socks that are a bit stiff and springy. All in all I like it though, but probably wouldn't use it for a very special project or gift.
