Spinning Beyond Your Comfort Zone - ()

Spinning Beyond Your Comfort Zone

It happens to most of us at some point after we learn to spin: once we've mastered the basics of spinning a good worsted or semi-worsted short-draw yarn, we tend to fall into spinning a default yarn. At that point, spinners often lament that they find it hard to spin consistently outside of this default thickness and don't know how to change it. Instead of treadling faster or drafting faster than we do for our default yarn, we can easily change the setup of our wheels to help us expand the thickness of our yarns. Your instructor will show you how to use the setup of your wheel to help you spin a range of thicknesses without having to worry about whether you are treadling too fast or too slow, or are drafting out enough fiber consistently throughout your project.
