      Comments about true Luna:

I am making a lace shawl and I'm past the halfway point. The yarn is gorgeous and knits up beautifully. It's like a fluffy cloud. I am using size #4 needles.
Because the yarn is majority mohair, and therefore fuzzy, it is more difficult if I make a mistake and have to unravel to correct it - it's hard to see the loops and sometimes the yarn seems to cling to itself. I think that these factors would apply to any mohair yarn - it's worth it because it is so beautiful.

The down side, at least at this point, is that occasionally when I'm knitting, I end up with a fiber or two in my mouth, and occasionally there is shedding on whatever I'm wearing.
I hope that once I soak and wash the shawl to block the finished piece, that the fibers will be stabilized and that it will no longer shed.

Years ago I worked with this yarn in black and I do not remember a shedding issue.

      Comments about true Luna:

Knitted a pullover double stranded. Violet with silver metallic is beautiful. However, some bits of the metallic material are bigger than others and seemed to have lost their metallic glitter, or, perhaps were not added properly during the manufacturing process. All in all, I still like this yarn.

        Comments about true Luna:

Caveat emptor: this yarn is addictive!
When she saw me making a lace scarf, one of my best customers put in an order for a gold colored rectangular shawl in a reasonably priced luxury fiber. This fit the bill perfectly after the Webs discount. At the gauge and width I've chosen, three balls is plenty. The loft of the yarn prevents the #10s I'm using from creating too loose of a fabric. It's soft in the ball and gets even softer when you start working with it. In two and a half days, I've done 30" because it's so hard to put down.

          Comments about true Luna:

I knitted a Lacey shawl with Luna and several other glitzy yarns. This yarn appears to have more sparkle on the ball than it shows in the actual stitches of the lacework . It is attractive without being over-powering, so I think it would be lovely as a solo fiber for an "anytime" useful garment or accessory. It is a mohair type yarn, so it does not decnhstruct easily. It knits more easily on bamboo needles

            Comments about true Luna:

This is a beautifully soft yarn that feels luxurious and has a lovely halo. I used it in a large open lace pattern (Vogue Knitting #16 Lacy Batwing Top Early Fall 2012). It is not an easy yarn to rip out as it easily felts or binds to itself, so know your pattern well or practice, practice, practice. However, this does not make pulling the yarn from the (outside of the) skein difficult, and bonus for lacework: it was easy to splice 2 skeins!
