*This class fulfills the Stitches: Lace Requirement for WEKP.
Knitted Lace isn't just a pretty arrangement of holes, it's a delicate balancing act of increases and decreases that can intimidate even a skilled knitter. Stitches: Lace will guide you through all the common stitches, shapes, and arrangments of knitted lace, from simple eyelets to complex patterns, so you can knit any lace pattern with ease and confidence. Note: You must have COMPLETED Knitting II and Stitches: Textures before taking this class. Required Text: A Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara Walker (15% discount)
Prerequisite: Knitting II and Stitches: Textures

- A Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara Walker (required text, 15% discount)
- 1 skein LIGHT-COLORED fingering weight yarn or at least 450 yards for sample squares and swatches. We recommend Valley Yarns Charlemont.
- US size 3 and 4 (3.25-3.50mm) needles OR SIZE TO GET GAUGE OF 6 sts and 8 rows = 1" in stockinette stitch. NOTE: We strongly recommend metal, straight needles for this class. We find that metal needles make the fiber content of Charlemont easiest to work with and the uniform diameter of straight needles helps avoid any difficulty in sliding tight stitches around.
- Knit or Crochet Tool Kit
