Hearts of Thanks from StringPlay was designed to show love, support, and thanks to our medical professionals at the local hospital. Hearts of Thanks are pretty little garter stitch hearts that are fun, super-quick to knit, and perfect for using stash yarns or leftovers. These hearts are knit using a bulky weight yarn, or a worsted weight yarn held doubled on US 6 needles so that the hearts will hold their shape. This would be a great first project for anyone wanting to learn to knit!

Skill Level: Beginner
Finished Measurements: Approximately 5½” long and 6” wide (unblocked)
Yarn Requirements:  Approximately 25g of bulky weight yarn such as Valley Yarns Berkshire Bulky (85% Wool/ 15% Alpaca; 100g/108yds) or from your stash in red or pink
Needles: US 6 (4.00mm)
Gauge: 18–20 sts = 4” in garter stitch, unblocked (fabric should be a bit stiff so the hearts will hang well)
