Swatching For Success
A gauge swatch will tell you everything you need to know about the final outcome of the hours you'll spend with some beautiful yarn and your favorite needles. Swatching For Success will help you find out why that's true! In spite of all the information your gauge swatch imparts, many knitters skip this vital step to the detriment of their project's fit and feel. Students will dissect the elements of a properly knit gauge swatch including stitch count, row count, needle size, and fiber content. Most importantly, you'll become much more in tune with your knitting. In addition, the class will discuss the best gauge for various kinds of knitted garments, accessories, and home goods. Your knitting wants you to take this class! Please check the Materials and Homework for this class. You'll be making several swatches and will want some time to complete them.
