Inspired by England’s stunning northwest region with its deep blue lakes and sheep-grazed fells and valleys, Fibre Company Cumbria is a lustrous blend of brown wool from the English Masham sheep breed, fine South American Merino wool and Argentine mohair. The resulting light brown-grey shade is then over-dyed, creating lovely, deep, saturated colours. Cumbria is a staple yarn, perfect for garments and accessories.
Note: While there are dye lots listed for these yarns, there can be variances even within dye lots. We strongly recommend that you alternate skeins as you work to give an overall blended appearance.

My second sweater with this yarn. I wanted a stable yarn for an Irish knit with cables. Wanted a size 7 needle and love how the Cumbria knits up.
I purchased the Fair Hill color. I love the subtle additional colors integrated into the base color of this yarn! It is also very soft and has a wonderful hand. I am using it to knit a sweater requested by my 91 y/o Dad - the first time ever! I'm honored to be able to do this for him and am very happy with the results so far. Can't wait to finish the sweater and give it to him!
