Using Your Handspun Yarn

You've spun miles and miles of fiber and have beautiful yarn. Now what? Using Your Handspun Yarn will help students gain the knowledge of measuring and substituting their handspun yarn to use in any pattern. After plying handspun and measuring wraps per inch, weight, and yardage, spinners and knitters will learn to compensate for shrinkage and for changes in their yarns from washing and processing. Students will make several swatches to wash, measure, and calculate for a written pattern using stitches per inch and calculate the proper needle size for the fabric best suited to each yarn.
