Valley Yarns 1007 Ptarmigan Kit

The Valley Yarns Ptarmigan Kit includes the PDF pattern download and the Southampton and Hatfield yarns needed to knit this two-toned cowl.

Whisper soft and warm, the Ptarmigan cowl is a fabulous beginner-friendly project that will be simple to knit and a delight to wear. Worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom up, this cowl is knit with a strand of Hatfield and a strand of Southampton yarn held together for the main body section, and with Southampton alone for the final section. This creates a piece that has more structure and weight at the bottom and is lightweight and sheer at the top. Both Hatfield and Southampton are incredibly soft yarns with beautiful drape and soft halos. Hatfield is 100% baby alpaca, lending warmth, and Southampton is a blend of mohair and silk, adding a slight sheen and an additional fluffy halo.
