The Valley Yarns Leafwing
Kit includes the PDF pattern download and the Valley Superwash Bulky yarn needed
to knit this cuddly cocoon in Spring Leaf or Turquoise.
Leafwing is a snuggly, cabled cocoon that will keep little ones cozy and warm
when winter sets in. Valley Superwash Bulky is superbly warm and its extra fine
superwash Merino wool is soft enough to have close to baby’s tender skin. Leafwing
begins in the round with a great combination of cables and seed stitch and
transitions to being worked flat with integrated buttonbands. Options are given
for a sleeveless cocoon or one with drop-shoulder sleeves, and both include a
cozy hood. A seam at the bottom and one at the buttonband base complete this
piece and have it ready to ward off winter’s chill for a little special little one! Stitch patterns are both charted and written out.
