VALLEY YARNS

40th Anniversary 02 Lake Superior Sandstone Scarves PDF

$3.99 Each

The Sandstone Scarves pattern continues the series of weaving patterns celebrating WEBS’ 40th Anniversary. This draft features two scarves using 8/2 Tencel from the Valley Yarn Collection. Both use the same set of colors, but since the first is a 16-shaft draft, it seemed sensible to try a second, similar one that weavers with 8 shafts could use.

The 16-shaft ripples are reminiscent of the sandstone cliffs at a cottage on Lake Superior where the designer vacationed as a child. The 8-shaft version lacks the curves, but does have nice ridges, and both have the wonderful hand and saturated colors of Tencel from the Valley Yarn Collection.

Note: The draft for the 16-shaft version of this scarf is in WIF format which is only compatible for use with computer loom weaving software.

This pattern is available as a PDF download.
