Wonderful!

This is probably the most luscious yarn I have ever used! It stretched quite a bit when blocked, but since I made a lace scarf, that was a bonus.

I was thrilled to find a cashmere at a good price to use for a Lacey shawl. This was my first Webs order and I feared buying online because I like to see the colors in person and feel the yarn. I bought Crimson, expecting a deep red, alas it's rust. After receiving it, I even googled the color Crimson to see what was described. This isn't a true Crimson. Lesson learned. Only gave it 2 stars because of the color.

      Comments about 27.99 Greylock:

I have knit 3 bias scarfs out of this yarn and never had any breakage. It is so soft so I bought it for the 4th time in Ash Brown. For some reason this color seems even softer than the others. It is a dream to knit with and feels like very expensive Cashmere. I love this new color and can't wait to finish the scarf. I hope new colors will keep getting added!

      Comments about 27.99 Greylock:

I really do like this yarn but it doesn't lend itself well to tearing out mistakes as the strands separate easily. I am knitting a lace pattern shawl that is really working up nicely.

      Comments about 27.99 Greylock:

Love this Cashmere! Light and Airy! Have used it for 4 sweaters with different gauges. Size 6 needles, 24 stitches =4", and size 8 needles, 20 stitches =4". Each one was fabulous. A couple colors were pillier than others, don't know why. I still love it, soft and seasonless. It only takes 3-4 skiens to make a sweater!

      Nice, soft, luxurious yarn

      Comments about 27.99 Greylock:

I knew going in (from others' comments and reviews) that the color would be off, so I was ok with it. Even with all the new Graylock colors there is no nice, deep Crimson red, so I was a bit disappointed when I saw the new additions. The yarn is nice and lush and easy to knit with, so I have no concerns in that area.

        Comments about 27.99 Greylock:

I originally bought this to make a cat sweater for a friend's Sphinx cat- and also because said friend recommended me for the job I have now. Having never received the measurements for the cat, I'm making Amélie by Gudrun Johnston. The colors I picked are sherbety, lime green, lilac and hot pink. Now that I see new, more subtle colors, I'm going to frog what I've done (only a few inches) and instead make... probably legwarmers or armwarmers.

        • Fingerless mitts

        Comments about 27.99 Greylock:

I am making fingerless mitts with the yarn. My color is slightly heathered which made my stitches look a little odd until I had a larger piece to look at. There is a cable that runs down the center, and when I tried to tighten the edge of the cable I broke the yarn several times, so it doesn't take much tugging. Perhaps people who work with cashmere know that. So far I am very happy with the outcome.
