Wonderful!

This is probably the most luscious yarn I have ever used! It stretched quite a bit when blocked, but since I made a lace scarf, that was a bonus.

I was thrilled to find a cashmere at a good price to use for a Lacey shawl. This was my first Webs order and I feared buying online because I like to see the colors in person and feel the yarn. I bought Crimson, expecting a deep red, alas it's rust. After receiving it, I even googled the color Crimson to see what was described. This isn't a true Crimson. Lesson learned. Only gave it 2 stars because of the color.

    Comments about 27.99 Greylock:

I originally bought this to make a cat sweater for a friend's Sphinx cat- and also because said friend recommended me for the job I have now. Having never received the measurements for the cat, I'm making Amélie by Gudrun Johnston. The colors I picked are sherbety, lime green, lilac and hot pink. Now that I see new, more subtle colors, I'm going to frog what I've done (only a few inches) and instead make... probably legwarmers or armwarmers.

    Comments about 27.99 Greylock:

I am making fingerless mitts with the yarn. My color is slightly heathered which made my stitches look a little odd until I had a larger piece to look at. There is a cable that runs down the center, and when I tried to tighten the edge of the cable I broke the yarn several times, so it doesn't take much tugging. Perhaps people who work with cashmere know that. So far I am very happy with the outcome.

    Comments about 27.99 Greylock:

I bought this yarn in Army Green for an Old Town cardigan (pattern by Carol Sunday) and it is absolutely dreamy. It is a dark, tweedy pine green, which is an excellent non-black neutral for my wardrobe. It does not shed or become "nappy" as you work with it. I keep petting it...literally cannot keep my hands off it. I'm halfway done and have already decided I will order more of this in a different color for a future project (maybe a pullover this time). This is high quality cashmere yarn for a fraction of what you'll pay for other brands.

I still enjoyed knitting with this yarn, but it feels more like regular merino wool, not cashmere
