I have never been a fan of flaky yarns. Too difficult to work with and messy. But I saw this line and thought I might try to incorporate it in with some soft sock yarn in a cowl pattern I am designing. I was wowed and am now hooked. It is consistent, does not shred, does not get stuck in the needles and really complements the sock yarns. You see, there really is room for change after 50 years of knitting...

I use this yarn for lace scarves. I like that it knits up quickly and it is easy to knit with. I use it with size 10 needles. With its long fibers it does not unknit well, so make sure you know your pattern before you start with this yarn. The colors are nice and are consistant from skein to skein and within the skein. The only problem I have with the yarn is that the finished product felts quickly with wear.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Giselle:

I used this to make a lacy infinity scarf. It is a nice soft yarn. Gives the scarf a dressy look to it. Toughest part was choosing a color, it comes in so many beautiful colors. Because it is a fine yarn and a fluffy mohair, it was a little slower for me to knit with in the pattern I choose. A design with out a lot of pattern would knit up quicker.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Giselle:

I was looking for a substitute for discontinued GGH Soft Kid yarn which, at one time, was a blend made with luxurious Angora-kid mohair, which is so super soft and yummy!

Giselle looked like the closest subsitute, so I ordered it. Unfortunately, the Giselle was a big disappointment. Giselle is harsh, rather than soft, and I could tell it would be itchy against the skin.

                    I returned it.

Sadly, we're losing so many lovely yarns...

The black Giselle is very softy and silky. The burgundy or cranberry is not as soft, but works well with a soft yarn.
