I am using Berroco Boboli yarns in several colorways to weave scarves on my rigid heddle loom. This worsted weight yarn comes in wonderful colorways that blend so nicely in woven fabric. If you're a rigid heddle weaver, give this one a try, you'll love the results. I can see how it would be a bit "hairy" to knit with, but in weaving with it the loosely spun type texture isn't a problem. I'm using it for both warp and weft. Wet finishes beautifully.

The colors are beautiful, but it colored my hands and needles (bamboo) when working with it. It also got very fuzzy and sheds quite a bit. I made a scarf with it and it is pretty soft, but I should have used some yarn with better drape as it seems stiff, even with size 9 needles and a gauge of 4 st/in.

    Comments about Berroco Boboli:

The fabric it produced is very soft. It also has this awesome poofy texture due to the yarn variation in winding. This can also be a negative because it's like you're knitting with string and then it changes to a sport weight causing excessive curling in the fabric. I like the yarn but would not have made a sweater. Stick to small items and you will love it.

    Comments about Berroco Boboli:

Fell in love with the fall colors of Sweet Tea and the "shimmer" of this yarn. I did not realize that it was thick/thin until I started knitting with it. Lots of texture! It is a bit "splitty" so you have to pay attention, but it is worth it.

                Comments about Berroco Boboli:

I'm using this yarn as the main color in a winter knitted shawl. I wanted a yarn with personality, one that was warm and soft and also easy to work with. Boboli is all of these, especially when knitted with metal needles.

The one small drawback is that when knitting, you need to be careful not to spit the yarn with your needle tip. Otherwise, this yarn is a dream to work with. I'm definitely going to make something else, in a different colorway, with this yarn.
